Kids Group Lessons at Perisher
Lay the groundwork for a lifelong love of the snow and watch your child's confidence soar as they learn from instructors specifically trained to work with children. At Perisher, we offer a range of lesson options for children aged 3-14 years to learn in a safe and fun environment.
Kids Group Lessons at Perisher are offered in a variety of programs, either mid-week (minimum 3 days), full day on Saturdays or half day, any day of the week.

- Kids 3 & 5 Day Adventure Program

Give your child the ultimate mountain adventure and watch their confidence grow as they explore more terrain through our unique, 3 or 5 day Adventure Program running from 24 June - 30 August.
This premium kids mountain experience is specifically-designed for Perisher's youngest adventurers. Participants will benefit from the same world-class instructor over the course of the program, small group sizes and have the opportunity to enjoy lunch somewhere different on the mountain each day (available with a Monday to Wednesday commitment, with the option to add Thursday and Friday).
Groups are split between 3-6 year olds and 7-14 year olds and are based on skill level.
Please note, this program is restricted to ski only for children who are aged 3-6 years old. Children must be at least 7 years old to participate in a group snowboard lesson. Please consider booking a private snowboard lesson for children younger than 7 and older than 5 years old.
What to expect
- Small class sizes led by the same instructor for the duration of the program
- A fun-filled, mid-week program spanning 3 to 5 days
- Lunch included - for special dietary requirements, please let us know at the time of booking (lunch location is dependent on skill level)
- Please note that terrain explored will be determined based on group skill level
Program details
- Choose on-line from 3 or 5 consecutive days
- There is an option to add one or two additional days to any 3 day program while you are in resort with our guest service team
- The program begins at 10am sharp each morning from Perisher Valley only, with check-in available from 9:30am
- Pick up begins at 2:45pm, with a pick up cut-off of 3:00pm
- This program is offered to start on Mondays only, from June 24th to August 26th.
- Saturday Full Day Kids Lesson

Full Day Kids Group Lessons are offered on Saturdays in 2024.
Groups are split between 3-6 year olds and 7-14 year olds and are based on skill level.
Please note, full day lessons for children aged 3-6 years old are ski only. Children must be at least 7 years old to participate in a group snowboard lesson. Please consider booking a private snowboard lesson for children younger than 7 and older than 5 years old.

- Half Day Kids Lessons

Half Day Kids Lessons run for three hours from 10am-1pm everyday with the flexibility to choose from a start location of either Perisher Valley or Smiggin Holes. Groups are split between 3-6 year olds and 7-14 year olds and are based on skill level.
Please note, half day lessons for children aged 3-6 years old are ski only. Children must be at least 7 years old to participate in a group snowboard lesson. Please consider booking a private snowboard lesson for children younger than 7 and older than 5 years old.
What to expect
- Small class sizes led by a qualified and experienced instructor
Lesson details
- 3 hour lesson duration from 10am-1pm
- Half Day Kids Lessons can be booked for any day of the week (pending availability) starting from either Smiggin Holes or Perisher Valley
- Class allocation and check-in/check-out is included in the 3 hour lesson duration
- Short breaks may be necessary throughout the lesson at the instructors' discretion and based on the groups' needs or adverse weather

- Helmets are mandatory. Your child will not be accepted into the lesson without a helmet
- Children must be able to use the toilet independently
- Lesson costs do not include lift access. Please ensure your child has a valid lift ticket for the day of their lesson. Their ticket will be scanned at the beginning of the lesson as they are grouped into classes.
- We recommend booking online and in advance to secure your preferred lesson dates, particularly during School Holiday periods
- Advanced bookings for consecutive multi-day lessons allow our team to secure the same instructor for the duration of the program
- Please consider travel time and potential delays when attending a lesson and allow extra time during Peak Snow Days
- To assist with class allocation, please advise Snowsports School staff of your child's previous on-snow experience and current ability level when arriving at the lesson meeting place
