The PlayStation Leichhardt Terrain Park opens for the 2016 season!
After extensive work over summer, The PlayStation Leichhardt Terrain Park is open for the 2016 season and now skiers and boarders can see what all the hype is about!
After major earthworks, the park has expanded both in width and length, giving riders access to more terrain as well as improving the flow of features towards Happy Valley T-bar
“We’ve realigned the jump lines and made some changes that will open up the area and allow for more design possibilities for this park. There’s room for more rail features and rebuilds throughout the season, which will be great for park riders”, says Charles Beckinsale, Perisher’s Terrain Parks Manager
With the in runs to the jumps now running down the fall, take-off and landings will be smoother for all riders and less snow is now required to make the jumps level so the park can stay open for longer throughout the season.
The upgrade is also good news for skiers and boarders all round. “With the change of the entry location to Leichhardt Park, skiers and boarders not wanting to ride the parks will have better access to Powder Ridge”, says Perisher’s Mountain Manager Andrew Kennedy.
The improvements further cements The PlayStation Leichhardt Terrain Park as a leading park for intermediate to advanced riders. Here’s the initial line of challenging and progressive features:
- 6m flat box
- 6m down box
- 8m flat down box
- 8m battleship box
- 20ft table top jump
- 7m rainbow box
- 5m kinked shotgun rail
