The Freedom Chairlift was new in 2014 and unlocked Guthega to many Perisher skiers and snowboarders. Through the 2014 winter the Freedom Chairlift was one of the most popular lifts across Perisher’s four resort areas. This was due to fantastic terrain offered in Guthega, as well as the amazing views across to the Main Range and Australia highest peak Mt Kosciuszko (2228m).

Perisher now has all four resort areas open including Perisher Valley, Blue Cow, Smiggin Holes and now Guthega, providing the largest choice of terrain in Australia.

Perisher CEO Peter Brulisauer said, “The debut of the Freedom Quad Chairlift in 2014 was a great success. It has improved the connection of the Guthega area to the rest of the resort immensely. This year promises to be even better with more people discovering the unique terrain Guthega has on offer and of course the breathtaking views of the main range”
