A week of bluebirds!
Week 7 at Perisher started off with an amazing streak of bluebird days. Low winds and clear skis made for some sensational riding throughout the week. With consistent cold temps at night, our snow guns worked overtime to top-up cover across the resort.
With the weekend came the wind, resulting in another unavoidable series of wind holds for some chairlifts. Luckily, we published a ‘How To’ on riding T-Bars! Check it out here.

Oakley Community Days
The team at Oakley paid us a visit this weekend for a mountain takeover with gear demos, scavenger hunts, athlete signings, and a Community Run down Front Valley. We farewelled the weekend with Oakley Perisher Parks Showdown – a slopestyle event at Front Valley terrain park.
If you visited us this weekend, you had the chance to find one of 10 Oakley scavenger hunt flags hidden across the resort. With location clues posted on the Perisher Instagram, it was a race against time to find the flags and bring them back to the Oakley demo tent. Finders keepers scored themselves a range of Oakley merch including goggles!
There was also the opportunity to demo the latest and greatest Oakley gear on Saturday with a demo tent set up at the bottom of the Perisher Quad Express chair. We were stoked to welcome Oakley athletes to resort, including Emily Arthur, Valentino Guseli & Jakara Anthony who were there signing autographs!
Sunday started with a Community Run down Front Valley, giving Perisher guests the chance to ride with Oakley athletes. It was a great way for our Oakley Perisher Parks Showdown entrants to warm up! They later took to Front Valley Slopestyle Park to show-off their skills in front of a panel of judges for their chance at glory. What a way to end the week with a bunch of stoked skiers and boarders doing what they do best!
Atomic and Salomon Demo Days
We welcomed Atomic & Salomon back into resort on Friday and Saturday, giving guests the opportunity to try the latest and greatest gear for free at Smiggin Holes. Once again, Smiggs provided the perfect place to escape a popular Front Valley, as well as provided some great shelter from the wind. No need to worry if you missed out, Atomic & Salomon Demo Days will be in-resort again next Friday and Saturday.
Yuki Birds
We were stoked to host Yuki Birds on Saturday, giving both skiers and boarders the opportunity and confidence to hit the park in a positive and supportive environment. Yuki Birds brings women and LGBTIQA+ folks together through skiing and snowboarding with the aim of breaking down intimidation barriers around entering, riding and progressing in the park and across the mountain. The day was an absolute blast, with over 100 Yuki Birds giving it a red-hot go.
