The Perisher Pond Skim saw over 220 competitors take to the pool with one common goal in mind, Don’t Sink! The weather supplied a picture perfect day and the 3rd annual Pond Skim event kicked off with the official fashion parade.
There were some great costumes to be seen and competitors went all out to impress the crowd & judges.
Once all competitors strutted their stuff it was time for the skimming to commence. The junior division went first and the kids had a solid crack with many young skiers & boarders making it across with no troubles at all.
Next up, it was time for the adults, with the starting gate moved further down the slope it made things slightly more challenging to make a successful skim.
Prizes were awarded for successful crossings, turns across the pool, switch attempts and of course those who made a splash were awarded! All in all, Pond Skim was another fantastic day under the Spring Sun at Perisher!
Make sure you make a move to get in your last turns for the season, Perisher is open until Sunday 13 October and there is plenty more sunshine in the forecast before then to round out what has been an awesome season!
