5 December Update - All The Way To The Top!

Mt. P 6 Bottom Station Build

5 December 2024

We are truly stoked with how the construction of our brand new, 6-seater chairlift is progressing. With the help of our friends at Doppelmayr, construction of the new chair’s top station is now well underway, with remarkable progress being made each day.

Installation of the new top station drive equipment including a shiny red bullwheel (now concealed by the station enclosure) and chair acceleration & deceleration machinery is now complete. The lifting machinery is also now housed by Doppelmayr's latest D-Line station design, helping the structure blend into Mt. Perisher.

The evolution of lifting technology since the installation of the Village Eight Express Chairlift in 2003 also means that the new Mt. Perisher 6 will be quieter than other chairlifts in the resort, with rubber-lined running rail mountings, sound-dampened outer guide rails, vibration-reduced station sheave assemblies, and a low-noise bullwheel design.

Check it out for yourself below!

More Choice, More Laps, More Fun

After the 5.3 minute journey up Mt. Perisher (which is a 44% faster ride time than the Double & Triple chairs), you'll find yourself at the highest lifted point in Australia at 2,042m and surrounded by stunning vistas of Kosciuszko's Main Range, over to Guthega & Blue Cow, and on a clear day, even all the way down into Jindabyne.

From there, Mt. Perisher is your playground with 222 acres of skiable terrain and 15 single trails made accessible by one, highspeed lift.

Whether you’re thrill-seeking on Dogleg, cruising your way down the intermediate blues of Wylie’s & Exhibition, or slashing untouched pow lines down Eyre, an entirely new experience awaits you on Mt. Perisher in 2025.
